1. Who we are

Buildara LLC ("Buildara," "we") provides the Buildara website and software (the "Service"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions go to support@buildara.co.

2. What we collect

Account information: your email address, username, and records of when you signed in and agreed to our terms.

Project information you enter or upload: such as property location, budgets, estimates, schedules, payments, vendor and trade-partner details, plans, photos and documents. Some of this can include other people's information (for example a vendor's name and contact details or tax forms); only add it if you're allowed to.

Usage and technical information: such as pages visited, actions taken, device and browser type, IP address and error logs, used to run and secure the Service.

Messages: feedback you send us and email we send you.

3. How we use it

To provide the Service and the features you ask for; to send sign-in links, notifications you've turned on and service messages; to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse; to fix problems and improve the Service; to respond to you; and to meet legal obligations.

Some features process content you choose to submit with artificial intelligence. That content is sent to our AI provider only to produce the result you asked for. Our provider's commercial terms don't allow it to use that content to train its models.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

We share it only: with people you invite to your projects; with service providers that host data, send email, process AI requests or otherwise help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it; if required by law or to protect people's safety or our rights; and with a buyer or successor if Buildara is involved in a merger or sale, under this policy's protections.

5. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to secure the Service. We don't use advertising cookies. If we add analytics, we'll update this policy.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your account and project data from the live Service right away; copies in backups are removed as those backups expire. We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as records of your agreement to these terms.

7. Your choices and rights

You can see and change your information in the Service, download a copy of your data, change your email notifications, and delete your account from your account settings. You can also contact us to ask for access, correction or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor them as required.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls that keep each project visible only to its members, and private file storage. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

The Service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Where data is stored

Buildara is based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. If a change is material, we'll ask you to review it in the Service. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
